 आत्म कथा -भाग 12 

 अनारकली की याद में एक स्मारक बनाये जाने की बात कही गई थी लेकिन आज तक नहीं बना।आप सोच रहे होंगे कि अनारकली के बाद तो जूही अकेली रह गई होगी । लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है। जब अनारकली जीवित थी तभी बेतला में एक छोटी सी, नन्ही सी, प्यारी सी हाथी के बच्चे को लाया गया था। उसकी भी एक अजीब कहानी है। पलामू टाइगर रिजर्व के बफर एरिया के गारू पश्चिमी रेंज के घने जंगलों में एक हथिनी अपनी नन्हीं सी जान के साथ चर रही थी ।तभी बिजली गिरने (बज्रपात)से मौत के शिकार हो गई। वह नन्हीं हाथी 2 दिनों तक वहां अपने मृत मां के पास रही। लेकिन जब दुर्गंध आने लगा तो वहां से अनाथ हो कर भटकते हुए गारू के हेसवा गांव पहुंची। जहां ग्रामीणों ने उसे पकड़ लिया ।और वन विभाग को सुपुर्द कर दिया ।उसे बेतला लाया गया। जिस दिन उस हाथी के बच्चे को लाया गया था उस दिन रक्षाबंधन था। इसीलिए वन विभाग के पदाधिकारियों ने उस हाथी के बच्चे का नाम राखी दिया।वह काफी घायल हो चुकी थी ,ऐसा लग रहा था मानो वह जिंदा नहीं बचेगी ।उस नन्हीं सी राखी का सौभाग्य ही था कि उस समय तत्कालीन मुख्य सचिव सजल चक्रवर्ती बेतला पहुंचे ।वह राखी की हालत देखकर काफी द्रवित हुए उस नन्हीं सी राखी के साथ रात भर रहे ।सुबह रांची के डॉक्टर बुलाया गया ।उसका बेहतर तरीके से इलाज कराया गया। उसे जीवनदान मिल चुका था ।राखी पूरी तरह से स्वस्थ हो गई और कुछ ही दिनों में अनारकली वा जूही की एक अच्छी दोस्त बन गई। अनारकली की मौत के बाद जूही परेशान जरूर हुई थी लेकिन उसे भी एक दोस्त मिल गया था राखी। कुछ दिनों के बाद विभाग के द्वारा फैसला लिया गया कि कुछ और हाथियों को बेतला लाया जाए ।ताकि सैलानियों को घूमने में असुविधा न हो। यह भी तय किया गया कि कुछ पालतू हाथी को किला के पास रखा जाएगा ताकि वहां से ही सैलानी हाथी की सवारी कर सकें। योजना को अंजाम देने के लिए काम शुरू हुआ। कर्नाटका से तीन हाथी मंगाए गए। काल भैरव, सीता और मुर्गेश। लेकिन योजना धरी की धरी रह गई ।क्योंकि तब तक यह आदेश आ गया  किसी भी हाथी से सैलानियों को सवारी नहीं कराई जाएगी । मतलब हाथी की सवारी पर बैन कर दी गई...

You must be thinking that after Anarkali, Juhi would have been left alone.  but it's not like that.  When Anarkali was alive, a small, small, cute elephant baby was brought to Betla.  He also has a strange story.  In the dense forests of the Garu Western Range of the buffer area of ​​the Palamu Tiger Reserve, an elephant was grazing with her little life, then died of lightning.  The little elephant stayed with her dead mother there for 2 days.  But when the foulness started coming, wandering orphaned from there, reached the village of Heswa in Garu.  Where the villagers captured him and handed over to the forest department. He was brought to Betla.  Rakshabandhan was the day the elephant was brought to the child.  That is why the Forest Department officials named the elephant's child Rakhi. She was quite injured, it seemed as if she would not survive. It was fortunate for her little Rakhi that Sajal Chakraborty, the then Chief Secretary at that time, reached Betla.  He was very moved on seeing the condition of Rakhi and stayed with that little Rakhi overnight. Morning doctor of Ranchi was called. He was better treated.  He was given a life of life. Rakhi became completely healthy and in a few days became a good friend of Anarkali and Juhi.  Juhi was upset after Anarkali's death, but she too got a friend Rakhi.  After a few days it was decided by the department to bring some more elephants to Betla so that the tourists do not have any inconvenience to roam.  It was also decided that some domesticated elephants would be kept near the fort so that the tourists could ride the elephant from there.  Work began to carry out the plan.  Three elephants were called from Karnataka.  Kaal Bhairava, Sita and Murgesh.  But the plan was shelved because by then this order has come, no elephant will be allowed to ride to the tourists.  Means elephant rides were banned…
