 आत्म कथा -भाग 18

समय के साथ साथ उस बाघिन(रानी) के चारों बच्चे बॉबी, बंटी, बबली और शेरा धीरे-धीरे बड़े होने लगे। हर मां की तरह रानी का अपने बच्चों के प्रति काफी लगाव था ।एक पल के लिए भी उन्हें अपने आंखों से दूर नहीं करती थी।इस दौरान वह काफी आक्रामक भी नजर आती थी।जब भी टाइगर ट्रैक्टर के द्वारा मॉनिटरिंग के दौरान देखा जाता था तो सभी साथ साथ दिख जाते थे। कहीं वह हमला न कर दे इसलिए उस समय बड़ी सावधानी रखने की जरूरत पड़ती थी।लगातार रानी व उसके चारों बच्चों का मेरे आंगन में दिखने के कारण  सैलानियों की संख्या बढ़ने लगी ।बड़ी संख्या में लोग बेतला आने लगे ।आसपास के गांव के लोगों ने भी उन्हें कई बार देखा।आज भी उन सैलानियों में से कुछ लोग हैं जो इसकी दास्तां बयां करते हैं।आसपास के गांव के लोग भी रानी व उसके बच्चों की चर्चा खूब किया करते हैं। आसपास के गांव के कई वैसे बुजुर्ग मिल जाएंगे जो इस दास्तां की व्याख्या करते नहीं थकते हैं। उन्होंने अपने जीवन में पहली बार बाघ को इतना करीब से देखा था।रानी व उसके बच्चों के दीदार करने के लिए हाथी की सवारी को बहुत ही उपयुक्त माना जाता था।क्योंकि हाथी से बहुत करीब जाकर रानी व उनके बच्चों को देखा जा सकता था। रानी भी धीरे धीरे लोगों से अभ्यस्त हो गई थी। वह भी समझ चुकी थी कि जो लोग भी उसके दीवाने हैं वहीं लोग ही उसके पास आ रहे हैं । उस समय का ऐसा वातावरण भी था जिसके वजह से रानी अपने शावकों के साथ रहने में किसी तरह की परेशानी महसूस नहीं कर रही थी। वन विभाग के द्वारा सुरक्षा के व्यापक प्रबंध किए गए थे। किसी भी तरह की अनहोनी न हो इस पर पूरा ख्याल रखा जा रहा था। यही वह समय था जबकि मैं अर्थात बेतला नेशनल पार्क चर्चित हो गया ।इसकी ख्याति देश-विदेश तक हो गई। लोगों को यह लगने लगा था कि बाघ देखना है तो बेतला जाना है। समय के साथ बॉर्बी, बंटी ,बबली और शेरा व्यस्क होते गए। अब ऐसा समय आ गया था जब बाघिन के बच्चे अपने मां रानी को छोड़कर अपने अपने टेरिटरी( बाघ का निवास क्षेत्र जहां का वह राजा माना जाता है) में जाने के लायक हो गए। क्योंकि अब वे खुद शिकार कर सकते थे। अपना भोजन के लिए मां के द्वारा किए गए शिकार पर आश्रित नहीं रहना पड़ता था..contd.

Over time, the four children of that tigress (Rani) Bobby, Bunty, Babli and Shera gradually grew up.  Like every mother, Rani was very fond of her children. Not for a moment did she take them away from her eyes. During this time she also looked very aggressive. Whenever Tiger was seen by the tractor while monitoring.  So everyone was seen together.  There was a need to be very careful at that time, so that the queen and her four children appeared in my courtyard, the number of tourists started increasing. A large number of people started coming to Betla.  He has also seen them many times. Today, there are some of those tourists who tell their stories. The people of nearby villages also talk about the queen and her children.  Many elders from the surrounding village will meet those who do not get tired of interpreting this story.  He had seen the tiger so closely for the first time in his life. The elephant ride was considered very suitable to look after the queen and her children. Because the queen and her children could be seen very close to the elephant.  The queen too slowly got used to the people.  She had also understood that the people who are crazy about her are the only people coming to her.  There was also an atmosphere at that time due to which the queen did not feel any difficulty in staying with her cubs.  Extensive security arrangements were made by the Forest Department.  No care should be taken to ensure that there is no untoward incident.  This was the time when I, that is, Betla National Park became famous. Its fame spread to the country and abroad.  People started to think that if they want to see tigers then they have to go to Betla.  Over time, Bourby, Bunty, Bubbly, and Shera grow up to be adults.  Now the time had come when the tigress' children left their mother Rani and were able to go to their territory (the tiger's inhabited area where he is believed to be the king).  Because now they could hunt themselves.  One did not have to depend on the hunt made by the mother for her food .. contd.
