आत्म कथा (भाग -3)

पर्यटक मुझे देखने के बाद पलामू किला, मंडल डैम, ततहा झरना , मिर्चिया फॉल ,केचकी संगम,  बूढ़ा घाघ से लेकर नेतरहाट तक  खूबसूरत वादियों का नजारा करते थे। प्रकृति के मनोरम दृश्यों को देखकर लोग रोमांचित हो जाते थे। उस दौर को मैं कभी नहीं भूल पाता हूं। मेरा गुजरा पल  काफी शानदार था ।दिलीप कुमार, सायरा बानो, शर्मिला टैगोर सहित कई सिने हस्तियों के अलावा कई फिल्मों के निर्देशक,संगीतकार,गीतकार,गायक,कथाकार ,साहित्यिकार, रचनाकार, न्यायपालिका से जुड़े महामहिम, पत्रकार, वैज्ञानिक ,अनुसंधानकर्ता , फोटोग्राफर,विद्यार्थी , प्रकृति प्रेमी ,राजनीतिज्ञ, कई राजनीतिक दल के नेता गण मेरे आंगन में पहुंचे। कई फिल्मों की शूटिंग हुई ,कई टेलीफिल्म्स डॉक्यूमेंट्री एल्बम बनाए गए। देश व राज्य स्तर की कई महत्वपूर्ण बैठक  हुई।

लेकिन अब आगे जो कुछ हुआ  ...ओह.....

  मेरी दुर्दिन यहीं से शुरू हुआ। खैर जब मैंने अपने अच्छे दिनों का जिक्र कर दिया है तो बुरे दिनों का भी जिक्र करना ही होगा और यह जरूरी भी है।जैसा कि मैं आपको पहले बता चुका हूं कि आजादी के पहले और आजादी के बाद भी हमारे जंगली जानवरों व पेड़ पौधों को काफी नुकसान पहुंचाया गया।मेरे आस-पास के इलाकों में खैर हुआ करता था ।लोगों ने कत्था की तस्करी करने के लिए मेरे लहलहाते पेड़ को काट दिए। फर्नीचर वगैरह बनाने के लिए  सागवान को काट दिए। जंगली जानवरों की खाल, सींग,हाथी के दांत के लिए जानवरों का शिकार चलता रहा।1990 के बाद नक्सली गतिविधि काफी तेज हो गई। समय-समय पर बारूदी  सुरंग विस्फोट होने लगा। मेरे आस-पास के इलाकों में मुठभेड़ होने लगी कुछ लोगों ने मेरे आसपास के जंगलों में अपना डेरा जमा लिया ।आने वाले दिनों के बारे में सोच कर परेशान रहने लगा। हालांकि मेरे इलाके में कोई अप्रिय घटना नहीं हुई लेकिन पास पड़ोस में होने के कारण मैं भी बदनाम हो गया। यह खबर पूरी दुनिया में आग की तरह फैल गई । मीडिया में प्रचारित होने के कारण लातेहार जिले की पहचान अति संवेदनशील जिले के रूप में कर दिया गया।लोगों को ऐसा लगने लगा अब बेतला नेशनल पार्क सुरक्षित जगह नहीं रहा। इतना ही नहीं बेतला- गारू मार्ग पर लगातार लूट होने लगा।पर्यटक मेरे यहां आने से परहेज करने लगे। एक तो नक्सली घटना और दूसरी वन माफियाओं का आतंक दोनों से मैं परेशान रहने लगा।

 After seeing me, tourists used to view the beautiful plains from Palamu Fort, Mandal Dam, Tataha Waterfall, Mirchia Fall, Ketchki Sangam, Budha Ghagh to Netarhat.  People were thrilled to see the panoramic views of nature.  I never forget that period.  I had a wonderful moment. Apart from many cine personalities including Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Sharmila Tagore, many films directors, composers, lyricists, singers, storytellers, litterateurs, creators, judiciary majesty, journalists, scientists, researchers, photographers  , Student, nature lover, politician, leader of many political party reached my courtyard.  Many films were shot, many telefilms documentary albums were made.  Several important meetings at the country and state level were held.

 But now whatever happened next ... oh .....

   My day started from here.  Well, when I have mentioned my good days, it is necessary to mention the bad days as well and it is also necessary. As I have told you earlier that before independence and even after independence, our wild animals and tree plants have to be  Much damage was done. I used to be well in the surrounding areas. People cut down my shrill trees to smuggle catechu.  Cut teak to make furniture, etc.  The hunting of animals for the skins, horns, ivory of wild animals continued. Naxalite activity intensified after 1990.  From time to time, landmines exploded.  Some people started encountering in the areas around me and they camped in the jungles around me. I was worried about the days ahead.  Though there was no untoward incident in my area but due to being in a nearby neighborhood, I also got discredited.  This news spread like fire all over the world.  Due to publicity in the media, Latehar district has been identified as a very sensitive district. People began to feel that Betla National Park is no longer a safe place.  Not only this, there was constant looting on the Betla-Garu road. The tourists started avoiding me from coming here.  One, I was disturbed by both the Naxalite incident and the terror of forest mafias.
