आत्म कथा -भाग 26

कई दुर्लभ जंतु व पौधों की प्रजातियां हो गई भस्म

 वो देखो जला घर किसी का...जंगल की आग  कितने बेजुबान निर्दोष प्राणियों को मार डालता है,कितने बड़े -छोटे दरख़्त धराशाई,जलकर भस्म हो जाते हैं।न जाने कितने जीव जिंदा जल जाते हैं। जंगल में केवल हिरन ,बंदर , तेंदुआ,हाथी, खरगोश ही नहीं होते हैं ।कई छोटे-छोटे जंतु होते हैं। लाखों प्रकार के कीड़े मकोड़े होते हैं। सैकड़ों प्रकार के सांप होते हैं।हजारों तरह की तितलियां होती है।सैकड़ों प्रकार के पक्षी होते हैं ।पक्षियों के घोंसले होते हैं। उनमें नन्हे नन्हे बच्चे होते हैं,अंडे होते हैं।कई पक्षी तो जमीन में भी अपने घोंसले बनाते हैं झाड़ियों के बीच।आग लगने से यदि जीव जंतु मर जाते हैं तो वह तो सदा के लिए मिट जाते हैं। लेकिन कई ऐसे भी जानवर होते हैं जो गंभीर रूप से घायल हो जाते हैं।वे दर्द से छटपटा रहे होते हैं। उनके शरीर पर जख्म बन जाता है।धीरे-धीरे वह जख्म गहरा हो जाता है , कीड़े लग जाते हैं और वह तड़प तड़प कर प्राण त्याग देते है ।मैंने कई जानवरों को अपने आंगन में ऐसे मरते हुए देखा है। मुझे बहुत दया आती थी वैसे बेजुबान जीवो को मरते देख कर।इंसान अपनी थोड़ी सी लालच के लिए ,थोड़ी सी स्वार्थ के लिए आग तो लगा देता है, लेकिन वही आग जंगल को जलाकर भस्म कर देते हैं ।पौधों और जंतुओं को अपने अस्तित्व को बनाए रखने में,पनपने में हजारों वर्ष लग जाते हैं।चंद मिनट में ही जल कर भस्म हो जाते हैं।कई प्रजातियां जो दुर्लभ होती है। उनका तो सदा के लिए अस्तित्व ही मिट जाता है। मुझे यह सोचकर हैरानी होती है कि इंसान तो इतना समझदार प्राणी है ।लेकिन अपने लालच को पूरा करने के लिए वह जंगल बर्बाद क्यों कर देता है? जंगल , जानवर उनसे लेते तो कुछ नहीं बल्कि देते ही रहते हैं। तो फिर क्यों तरस नहीं आती इंसानों को? प्रकृति ने सब को एक समान पृथ्वी पर रहने और जीने का अधिकार दिया  है तो फिर आखिर क्यों उनके अधिकार को इंसानों के द्वारा छीना जाता है ? जंगल उजाड़ कर जीवो को मारकर आखिर अपने आप को क्या साबित करना चाहता है इंसान? क्या प्रकृति ने इंसान को इंसान इसीलिए बनाया कि वह सब को उजाड़ दे बर्बाद कर दे, मिटा दे।फिल्म अनपढ़ में लता जी ने शायद मेरे लिए ही वह गाना गाया था-वो देखो जला घर किसी का... कि टूटे हैं किसके सितारे ..ओ किस्मत हंसी और ऐसी हंसी... कि रोने लगे गम के मारे... वह देखो जला घर किसी का... गया जैसे झोंका हवा का.. हमारी खुशी  का जमाना ...दिए हमको किस्मत ने आंसू.. जब आया हमें मुस्कुराना ...बिना हमसफर है सुनी है डगर.. किधर जाऊं हम बिन सहारे... वो देखो जला घर किसी का.. है राहे कठिन दूर मंजिल.. ये छाया है कैसा अंधेरा ..कि अब चांद सूरज भी ,मिलकर नहीं कर सकेंगे सवेरा ...घटा छायेंगी बाहर आएगी.. न आएंगे वो दिन हमारे.. वो देखो जला घर किसी का..इधर रो रही है ये आंखें  उधर आसमां रो रहा है ..मुझे करके बर्बाद जालिम .. पसीमां  हो रहा है .. ये बरखा तो रुक जाएंगे ..रुकेंगे न आंसू हमारे... वो देखो जला घर किसी का...!

Autobiography - Part 26

Many rare animal and plant species have been consumed

 Look at that burnt house of someone ... How many wild innocent creatures are killed by forest fires, how many small-scale ravages, burns and burns. Know how many lives are burnt alive.  There are not only deer, monkey, leopard, elephant, rabbit in the forest. There are many small animals.  There are millions of types of insects.  There are hundreds of types of snakes. There are thousands of butterflies. There are hundreds of types of birds. Birds have nests.  They have young children, eggs. Many birds make their nests even in the ground, among the bushes. If animals die due to fire, they will disappear forever.  But there are also many animals who are seriously injured. They are palpitating with pain.  A wound is found on their body. Slowly, the wound gets deeper, insects get engulfed and they yearning for life. I have seen many animals dying in their courtyards like this.  I was very pity to see lifeless people dying. For a little bit of greed, a little selfishness sets fire, but the same fire burns the forest and consumes it.  It takes thousands of years to grow, to be burnt. Burned in a few minutes and consumed. Many species which are rare.  Their existence disappears forever.  I wonder if a human being is such a sensible creature. But why does he waste the forest to fulfill his greed?  The forest, animals take nothing from them but keep giving.  Then why don't humans feel pity?  Nature has given everyone the right to live and live on the same earth, so why are their rights snatched away by humans?  What does a human want to prove himself after killing the creatures by destroying the forest?  Did nature make man a human being so that it would ruin, destroy and destroy everyone? In the illiterate film, Lata ji probably sang that song for me - look at that burnt house ... that whose stars are broken  ..O laughter and such laughter ... that weeping weep for gum ...
