मैं बेतला नेशनल पार्क हूं ।झारखंड के आन- बान -शान का प्रतीक । भारतवर्ष का गौरव। मैं अपनी पहचान का मोहताज नहीं हूं ।भारत कोने कोने से लेकर विदेशों तक मेरी खूबसूरती की चर्चा होती रही है। यही कारण है कि प्रत्येक वर्ष करीब एक लाख सैलानी मेरे आंगन में पहुंचते हैं। मैं बहुत दिनों से अपनी आत्मकथा आपके बीच शेयर करने के लिए सोच रहा था ।लेकिन बार-बार मेरे मन में यह सवाल आ रहा था कि -आखिर इस भागदौड़ की जिंदगी में कोई मेरी आत्मकथा क्यों सुनेगा? मैं अक्सर किशोर दा के मशहूर गाना -कौन सुनेगा...किसको सुनाए.. इसीलिए चुप रहते है... याद कर खामोश रहता था। और फिर आत्मकथा में मुझे अपने अच्छे और बुरे दोनों दिनों का तो जिक्र करना होगा। खैर काफी सोच-विचार के बाद मैंने यह फैसला कर लिया है कि चाहे जो हो मैं अपनी आत्मकथा आपके बीच शेयर करके ही रहूंगा। क्योंकि अगर अब भी मैं चुप रहा तो मैं लूट जाऊंगा, मिट जाऊंगा, मेरा अस्तित्व खत्म हो जाएगा।
हां तो मैं शुरू करता हूं।अंग्रेजों के समय मेरे साथ क्या हुआ, यह तो मैं नहीं बताना चाहता? क्योंकि जब, अंग्रेज आदमी के नहीं थे तो जानवर के भला क्या होते हैं ।पेड़ पौधे से क्या उनकी मोहब्बत होती। लेकिन आज़ादी के बाद जो कुछ भी मेरे साथ हुआ मैं उसे जरुर आपके बीच रखना चाहूंगा। आज़ादी मिलने के बाद एक और जहां देश में आजादी के जश्न मनाया जा रहा था वही मैं दूसरी ओर काफी परेशान हो था। क्योंकि उस समय जश्न मनाने की खुशी में मेरे जंगली जानवरों का शिकार हो रहा था। पलामू का बीहड़ जंगल के रूप में जाना जाता था। मेरे आंगन में जंगली जानवरों की भरमार थी। आप शायद विश्वास नहीं करेंगे, सैकड़ों बाघ अलग-अलग जंगल क्षेत्र में निवास करते थे। सबका अपना-अपना एरिया था। जहां के राजा माने जाते थे। अंग्रेजों के समय भी शिकार हुआ था आजादी के बाद भी मेरे मेरे आंगन में बाघों का शिकार होता रहा। मैं चुपचाप देखता रहा। जब बाघों की संख्या घटने लगी वन्य प्राणियों का अस्तित्व खतरे में नजर आने लगा। तब 1972 में वन प्राणी अधिनियम की चर्चा होने लगी। और मेरे अलावा आसपास के जंगलों को आरक्षित रखने के लिए पलामू टाइगर रिजर्व पलामू टाइगर प्रोजेक्ट शुरू किया गया।बाघ सहित अन्य जंगली जानवरों का संरक्षण की दिशा में काम शुरू हो गया।

I am Betla National Park. Symbol of On-Ban-Shan of Jharkhand. Pride of India I am not fascinated by my identity. My beauty has been talked about from India to every corner of India. That is why every year about one lakh tourists reach my courtyard. I have been thinking to share my autobiography among you for a long time. But again and again the question was coming in my mind that - why would anyone listen to my autobiography in the life of this runaway? I would often listen to Kishore Da's famous song - Who would I listen to ... that's why I kept quiet ... I used to keep quiet. And then in the autobiography I have to mention both my good and bad days. Well after much deliberation, I have decided that whatever I may be, I will keep sharing my autobiography among you. Because if I am still silent then I will be robbed, erased, my existence will end.
Yes i start. What happened to me at the time of the British, I do not want to say this? Because when the British were not of man, what is the good of the animal. What would be his love with a tree plant. But whatever happened to me after independence, I would definitely like to keep it among you. After getting independence, where I was celebrating independence in another country, I was very upset on the other side. Because at that time my wild animals were hunting in the joy of celebrating. Palamu was known as the rugged forest. My courtyard was full of wild animals. You probably wouldn't believe, hundreds of tigers inhabited different forest areas. Everyone had their own area. Where kings were considered. The British were also hunted during the time, even after independence, I continued to hunt tigers in my courtyard. I kept watching silently. When the number of tigers started dwindling, the survival of wildlife started to appear in danger. Then in 1972, the discussion of the Forest Animals Act started. In addition to me, Palamu Tiger Reserve Palamu Tiger Project was started to keep the surrounding forests in reserve. Work started in the direction of conservation of wild animals including Tiger 🐅.
